On Good Friday, March 29, 2024, of Bloomfield, originally from Lawrenceville. Devoted husband to the late Gerry; wonderful dad to twins, Larry and Jim Wiseman and Nancy Conway (Phil); proud grandpap to Brian Conway (Jen) and Allison Mercer (Joe); sweet "Great" to Ruth and Nora Conway; also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bill was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School, Duquesne University and St. Francis University. He was a longtime season ticket holder for Duquesne mens basketball.

Bill served in the Marines at the end of WWII, stationed in Hawaii. He was so devoted to that branch of service that every Marine Corps birthday (November 10), he would anonymously call his Marine buddies or anyone he knew who had served in the Marines, and play the Marine Corps hymn from an album on his record player. No one knew who it was until caller ID came around.

Bill held different jobs throughout his career - including plumber for Local Union #27, plumbing inspector, business agent then manager, and finally a labor mediator for the state. He loved his Gross Street neighbors.

The family would like to thank Donna from Care @ Home and Tammy and Diona from Bridges Hospice for their wonderful care.
