Age 59, of Lawrenceville, on Monday, May 3, 2025. Beloved companion of the late Diane M. Burkart; loving father of Candace H. (Shane) Cherico and Missy M. Kappes; cherished Grandpap Bill of Isabella, Juliana and Shane Cherico; son of the late William C. and Rita M. (Novick) Kappes; devoted brother of Maryann (John Ricketts) Brown, Michele Kappes, Pauline "Poopsie" (the late John) Balistrieri, Anna (the late Joe) Predis and Bridget (Paul) Guardalabene; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Gathering celebrating Bill's life at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m.

Interment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.
