William "Bill" Merlino, 91, of Shaler Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  Upon passing, Bill was reunited with his beloved wife of 59 years, Claire (Mooney) Merlino.  He is survived by his son William (Janet) Merlino, daughter Lisa (Bill) McGaffick, and two grandchildren, Amber and Ryan McGaffick.  Bill was the son of the late William and Angeline (Gamberi) Merlino, and brother of the late Jack (Shirley) Merlino, the late Charles (Wanda) Merlino, the late Marie (Edward) Raimondi, and the late Josephine (Nino) Puccio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Bill was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He took great pride in his family and taught them the value of hard work and compassion through his actions.  He was proud to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, and was also a loyal Teamster of Local 249 for over 40 years.
