Wayne Boettcher, affectionately known as "Jake" and "Pappy", of Hampton Township, passed away on November 24, 2025. He is predeceased by his parents Ralph and Alma Boettcher of Shaler Township. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Linda Boettcher, his son Matthew and wife Lisa along with their children Carter and Cooper, his daughter Lesley and husband Blake, along with their children, Sophia and Sienna (his Princesses), his Sister Kim Nowack and husband Ken, brother-in-law Paul Lazarek and his wife Clara, along with their children.

Wayne was employed by the Pittsburgh Catholic Diocese for over 50 years as Assistant Finance Director.

Wayne loved his family, and the weekly question was, "Are the kids coming for dinner this weekend?" He especially loved his grandchildren - always buying them little trinkets and providing plenty of treats and a welcoming lap to crawl into in his favorite recliner.

His happy place was sitting in the woods in his tree stand waiting for that elusive buck or in a boat at "Pymie" hoping to snag a few fish. He also looked forward to his yearly beach vacation with family and friends. He relished a good cigar, a good Manhattan, and a cold Iron City Beer.

He was loved by all who knew him.
