Obituary

Born in Pittsburgh on April 25, 1952, and passed away on July 23, 2025. Son of the late Paul Raymond Rahuba and the late Frances (Kelly) Rahuba. Husband of Marianne (Slowikowski) Rahuba for 49 years. Father of Patrick Rahuba (Kelly), Lauren Rahuba (Joe), and the family dog, Toby.

Pat is survived by his brother Brian Rahuba, the late Mike Rahuba (Jane), and the late Alan Rahuba. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a very special grandniece, Gracie.

Pat grew up in the Friendship district of Pittsburgh and graduated from St. Lawrence O'Toole Grade School, Central Catholic High School, and Penn State University.

Pat worked for various retail establishments for the first 10 years after graduation, most notably as a buyer for Gimbels Department Store. Pat then received a job offer from the State of Pennsylvania, where he spent 28 years as a Senior Tax Auditor.

For 18 years, Pat coached/managed/umpired and served as the Treasurer and President of the Stanton Heights Little League.

But Pat's biggest love was fishing. He was a "steelheader" through and through! He had a camp in Erie County where he spent many a day on the local creeks catching enumerable steelhead fish with his trusty fly rod. He was an avid boat enthusiast for 20+ years on Lake Erie. He docked his boat, the "Frances R," at the Presque Isle Marina, where many a fine beach/fishing day started and ended.

Avid sportsman in general. Six Super Bowl, five Stanley Cups, three World Series, and two college National Championships. Who could ask for anything more? We are PENN STATE one last time!!!

Then there are the trusted neighbors and friends. Keirsten and Dan, who helped so much. Thanks to you and your lovely daughters, Eleanor and JoJo, for always bringing a smile to Pat's face.

Then there are the camp friends. So many over the years, most notably Debbie, Tim, Gary, and Ed. Sorry, Debbie, but Pat's fires were always bigger and better!

And who could forget the "Original Elders." All are gone except for Russ and Sue. They made the place what it is today!

Special thanks to everyone at Advantage Hospice Care for their care and compassion.

Thanks for all the memories. See you down the road!
