Age 75, of Shaler Township, formerly of Garfield, on Saturday, July 29, 2023. Beloved husband of 46 years of Janet E. (Ploof) Kacin; loving father of Ashly Anna (Mikey Pozzuto, Jr.) Kacin; son of the late Stephen R. and Dorothy Mae (Wiser) Kacin, Sr.; dear brother of Rich Kacin, Patrick Kacin and the late Jack Kacin; uncle of Shyela and many nieces and nephews; also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins and numerous friends.

Steve proudly served in the U.S. Army, 2nd Infantry Division as an Intelligence Specialist. He was always proud of his jobs that he had, but his main focus was being a musician and he became a central figure in the Pittsburgh music scene. Steve truly left this world a better place.

Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
