Age 82, of Freeport, formerly of Bloomfield, passed peacefully, on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. Beloved wife of 61 years of Jerome J. Aul, Sr.; loving mother of Jerome J. (Lee Ann) Aul, Jr., Karen L. (Anthony Sr.) Hickton and David R. (Susan Dawson) Aul; devoted Mema of Derick (Kristen) Banach, Nick (Vanessa) HIckton, Anthony Hickton, Jaime Hickton, Edward Aul, Alea (Nicholas) Glass and Iva Aul; cherished great-grandmother of Mollie, Riley, E.J., Trey, Kinsley, Kaylee, Maddie, Ayla, Conor, Lincoln, Bodie and Tullie; dear sister of Genevieve (Michael) O'Connor; also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Stella worked at the VA Medical Center (Highland Drive) since the age of 19. She was an Agent Cashier for 15 years and then was a nursing assistant for the last 5 years before retiring to take care of her parents.

Stella was a eucharistic minister, spiritual leader for the St. Vincent de Paul Society and a Christian Mother, all at St. Mary, Mother of God Church. She volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Apollo for 20 years.

Stella loved gardening and crafts. She was on the Four Seasons Craft Circuit for 4 years and she sold crafts on consignment at a craft store in Volant, PA. Stella loved helping other people. She spent the last years of her life residing at Lighthouse Pointe Village Retirement Community in Fox Chapel where she met many wonderful people.

Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary, Mother of God Church, 608 High Street, Freeport, PA 16229, on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.
