A member of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth for 76 years, died February 24, 2020, at the age of 96. A native of McKees Rocks, PA. Sister was a teacher in parishes in Pittsburgh, Erie and Cleveland, Ohio. She was also Dean of studies in the Pittsburgh Diocese and also the first director of Mt. Nazareth Learning Center. Sister Florence was also parish Social Minister and Chaplin and Hospitality Associate at several Nursing Homes. She earned PHD degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Daughter of the late Matthew and Laura (Nuszkiewicz) Klaniecki; sister of Elaine (the late Stanley) Zary, the late Frances (Joseph) Knoerdel and Edwin (Thelma) Klaniecki; also survived by 7 nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date.
