At the age of 79, on Monday, July 18, 2022 at his home in Gibsonia, formerly of Lawrenceville, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest. He was the loving husband of 55 years to Jacqueline (Adamski) Baird, and the devoted father of Matthew Baird, Tracy (Michael) Heiter, and Timothy (Felicia) Baird. Ron was the proud Pap of Abigail and Ronald James "R.J." Baird, Sara Baird Heiter, and Andrew and John Baird. He is preceded in death by his father Roy Victor Baird and his mother Blanche Broeker.

Ron proudly served the City of Pittsburgh for 38 years as a Police Officer until he retired in 2004 as a master patrolman. He served in the U.S. Army for 8 years. He was also a member of the FOP Fort Pitt Lodge #1 and the Allegheny County Rifle Club. Ron was passionate about many things but especially his family. Ron also enjoyed tennis, traveling, history and was always willing to help anyone in need.
