Beloved family and community members, Mary Lou (Robash) and Robert "Bob" Foster, both age 88, passed away this week. They lived and raised their family in Pittsburgh (Aspinwall) and were very dedicated to their community.

Mary Lou will be remembered as the steadfast matriarch of a loving family, who enjoyed and participated in a wide array of cultural events and offerings. She dedicated her time to service in her community through the Ladies Auxiliary, local elections and supporting community initiatives, like Girl Scouts and Fox Chapel Schools. She was a gifted artisan who created beautiful pieces for family and friends that they can cherish for years to come.

Robert, better known as Bob, will be remembered for his keen humor and work ethic. Bob retired and un-retired more than once because, as his family joked, he could never sit still. Bob loved to work with his hands and fix things, especially in the garden of his home, where he made homes for local squirrels and hummingbirds over the years.

Mary Lou and Bob will be dearly missed by their children, grandchildren, extended family, and good friends. As they wished, a private memorial service will be held. In their memory, the family requests that any gestures of kindness be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
