Patricia Hartnett, age 57, of Squirrel Hill, passed away on February 5, 2025. She is the beloved mother of Eithne and Thomas. Born August 14, 1967 to Eithne (Heffernan) and Thomas Hartnett, she is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Kathleen Speck, a brother Thomas, and a brother-in-law Will Speck.

In addition to her wonderful two children, she is survived by her sister Betsy (Dan) Cwenar, John (Bridget) Hartnett, Eithne (Bill) O'Malley, Joe (Carrie) Hartnett, 23 nieces and nephews, and 11 great nieces and nephews.

Tricia enjoyed a 20 year career at the Pittsburgh Zoo. She was a zoo keeper, working in the Tropical Forest Complex with the primates. She loved all animals, especially her cats, that she had throughout her life. She is also fondly remembered as the "Fun Aunt" to all her nieces and nephews, and will be greatly missed by all.

A gathering in Tricia's honor will be held on Saturday, February 22, at the RCAC - Oakmont Community Hall, 501 2nd Avenue, Oakmont, PA 15139, from  2:00-5:00 pm, including a brief service at 3:00pm.
