Obituary

Age 77, of Brookline, passed away peacefully after his brave battle with cancer, on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donato and Gemma Pollice. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marylou and his children: Daniel Pollice (Barb Burk), and Irene D'Andrea (Robert); grandfather to: Alana D'Andrea, Robert D'Andrea Jr., Anthony Pollice, Zachary Pollice, Olivia Pollice, Luke Pollice, Lorenzo Pollice, and great-grandfather to: Angelo and Isabella D'Andrea, brother of Mario Pollice. Nick was born on August 1, 1944, in Gamberale, Italy. He lived in Gamberale for 15 years before his family came to America in 1959. Nick was married to Marylou for 53 wonderful years, and they made their home in Brookline. He was an amazing dedicated father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He had a passion for many things. He loved to cook, play the accordion with his band, wood working, decorate for the holidays, and most of all, spending time with his family. During his retirement, he and Marylou enjoyed taking cruises and outings with his family. His family has endured a great loss and will be cherished forever. Family and friends may gather at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201 on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 1-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at Saint Theresa of Kolkata Parish, Church of the Resurrection, 1100 Creedmore Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15226 (Resurrection Parish) in Brookline, on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Jefferson Memorial Park in Pleasant Hills.
