Obituary

Age 72, of Mount Laurel, NJ and formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 22, 2026 with her daughter by her side. She was born to parents Helen (Pawlowski) and Joseph Cygnarowicz on July 23, 1954 in Pittsburgh, PA and spent many of her childhood and adult years as a resident of Lawrenceville.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Sarah (Randy) Rivera of Moorestown, NJ; her three wonderful grandchildren, Nathan, Ryan, and Hadley; her sisters Janice (Ken) Lisiak and Dolores “DeeDee” Kaminski; nephews, Paul and Ryan Lisiak, and niece, Lauren Kaminski.

Nancy was a proud “Pittsburgher” and loved watching the Steelers, Pens, and Pirates through their best and worst years. She loved cooking and made sure to share her creations with friends, family and coworkers. Nancy spent many years as a legal secretary and enjoyed sharing her legal knowledge with others. Later in life, Nancy moved to New Jersey to be near her daughter and grandchildren, who were the center of her world and her pride and joy. She spent the last years of her life on the sidelines of soccer and basketball games for Nathan and Hadley and in the audience for Ryan’s theater and singing performances.

Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Sunday, November 1, 2026 from 2-6 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish, St. Augustine Church on Monday, November 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Penn Pancreatic Cancer Research Center or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Nancy’s memory.
