Of Troy Hill, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. "Iron Mike" lived his life with a tough exterior and the biggest heart, and nothing meant more to him than his family. He was a proud father to Melissa Schindler and Evan (Jenny) Schindler, and he carried the memory of his late son, MIchael J. Schindler, close to him always. Mike's greatest joy came from being PapPap to Olivia, Avery, Millie, and Kai - the lights of his life. Anyone who knew him knew how much he loved talking about "his kids" and "his granddaughters", and how fiercely he loved and supported them.

Mike is survived by his sisters and brothers - Janine Guthrie (Tony), Elyse Geyer, Eric Schindler, and Laurie Pennetti - and by many nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Mike. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Sica Schindler.

In keeping with Mike's wishes, we'll gather this spring for a celebration of his life.
