Age 52, of McCandless, previously of Brookline, suddenly, on Friday, June 12, 2020. Mike was born and raised in Lawrenceville. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and received his degree in education from California University of PA. Michael was a teacher over 30 years with the Pittsburgh Public Schools, most recently at Allderdice High School in Pittsburgh, where he also coached the girl's softball and golf teams. Michael is the loving husband of Ranee (Lindenfelser) Chmielewski and the devoted and loving father to their two precious daughters, Kayla Ann and Amber Nicole; cherished son of Mary Ann and the late Bernard Chmielewski; dearest brother of Bernard (Liz) Chmielewski, Matthew (Marci) Chmielewski, Christine (Nathan) Geller and the late Mark Chmielewski; special uncle to Zachary (Nichole) Hammers; dear son-in-law of Jack and Patricia Lindenfelser; caring brother-in-law of Keith Lindenfelser, Kim (Mark) Wohlfarth, Debbie Crawford and Sean (Ruth) Lindenfelser; fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mike was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and gardener. He spent all his free time enjoying these hobbies with his daughters, best buddies Sammy and Blaze, brothers, nephew, family and close friends. Family and friends are welcomed to the WALTER J.
