At age 75 Melinda passed away peacefully, after many health struggles, in the early morning of Friday June 14, 2024.

Melinda is survived by her beloved husband James R. Nied. Melinda was preceded in death by her mother and father. She was the sister of Ying Shung Hung and LuLu.

She was born in mainland China and raised in Taipei, Taiwan where her family moved when she was 3 years old. She moved to the United States when she married Jim in 1987.

Melinda and Jim lived at his family's business, Nied's Hotel, in Lawrenceville, PA. She lived a busy life in the center of both small and large gatherings and enjoyed many exciting charter trips always involving family, friends and patrons.

Melinda kept her treasured Asian culture close to her in her foods and through her skilled jewelry making.

Under the loving care of her husband Jim, Melinda often expressed extreme gratitude for the help, kindness and prayers sent her way during her struggles this past year. Her wishes in passing are being honored in that there will be no public viewing or services, but peaceful time for her husband and her close friends.
