Age 99, of Kennedy Twp, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Stephanie "Stella" (Cygnarowicz) Kapela; cherished father of Phyllis Kapela, Albert (Linda) Kapela, Timothy (Maria) Kapela, Valerie (Keith) Zanotti; dziadek of David Kapela, Nicole (Herbert) Brittner, Mathew A. Kapela, Anthony (Heidi) Zanotti, Joseph C. Kapela, Caroline Kapela, Victoria Zanotti (Zachary Knell), Matthew S. (Ashley) Kapela, and Paul Zanotti; great dziadek of Herbert Brittner IV, Madeline Zanotti, Elise Brittner, and Vincent Zanotti: son of the late Wojciech and Maryana (Koztoska) Kapela; brother of the late Aniela, Joseph, Leocadia, Martha, Theodore, Stanley, Peter, Valerie, Seweryn, and Zygmunt.

Matthew's most important values were faith, family, and work ethic. Family and friends received at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Church on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, 10:00a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Matthew's name to St. Stanislaus Church-Stained Glass Window Campaign.
