On Friday, August 22, 2025, Mary P. Connolly, age 88, of Oakland, passed away peacefully.

Born November 13, 1936 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late John and Delia (Costello) Connolly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Michael "Sonny" (Barbara) Connolly and Jimmy Connolly. Mary is also survived by many loving cousins on both her mothers and fathers side, along with many devoted friends.

Mary attended Holy Rosary School in Homewood and graduated from St. Paul Cathedral High School in 1954.

Mary worked as a Bell Telephone operator, an administrator with Union Switch & Signal and worked at Associates in Respiratory Medicine (AirMed). In retirement, Mary volunteered at Oasis in Kaufmann's Department Store, she was an avid golfer and enjoyed walking, coffee runs to Starbucks, going to the casino and many trips to her beloved Ireland; but most of all she loved being surrounded by family and friends and talking for hours and hours.

As per Mary's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. A Mass will be dedicated to her in the upcoming months at a Sunday Mass at St. Paul Cathedral. Please privately celebrate Mary's memory in your own way.

Mary was compassionately cared for during her last weeks at Concordia of Monroeville in conjunction with Good Samaritan Hospice.
