Lynn
Lewandowski
September 15, 2023
Age 62, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2023 after a six year battle with colon cancer. She is survived by her husband, Larry Rautio, and daughter Olivia Rautio; her sisters Leslie and Amy (Terry); her brothers Hank (Cathy) and Mark (Colleen); her nieces Kiely (Zach), Quinn, Ali (Zack), and Maura (Dravido); her nephew Nick (Bridget); her great-nieces Harriet and Margaret Lynn and her great-nephew Heath. She is also survived by her Minnesota in-laws: mother Raili Rautio, brother Leo (Tweetie), her nephew Gage and nieces Nicole and Connor; great-nephews Ayden, Jordan, and Arlo. She is also survived by the dear members of her Cygnarowicz family. She was preceded in death by her parents Hermine "Mickey" and Henry "Rusty" Lewandowski, baby brother Jan Lewandowski, and her father-in-law Weikko Rautio.
Lynn was the consummate neighbor. She graciously opened her doors (and her deck) to family, friends, neighbors, and everyone in between. She valued building a sense of community in Lawrenceville and maintaining family traditions that have been passed down through generations. She proudly hosted Lawrenceville Porch Crawls ('ya gotta call to crawl!') where Porch Crawlers formed new friendships, shared stories about the neighborhood, and enjoyed each other's company.
She and Larry loved exploring new businesses and restaurants on Butler Street and forging connections with others who delighted in the same.
She honored her Polish heritage wherever she traveled in life and with whomever she crossed paths with - often completing a farewell with "Idz z Bogiem!" (Go with God!). She was a talented chef, pastry chef, pierogi pincher, and artist. She listened closely, she advised thoughtfully, and she cared deeply. Her dedication to providing for others continued until her death.
Funeral arrangements are private. The family will hold a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Millvale Community Center (416 Lincoln Ave, Millvale, PA, 15209) from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to NPR local station WESA.FM; 67 Bedford Square, Pittsburgh, PA, 15203.
