Age 90, of Bloomfield, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026. Beloved twin sister of the late Shirley A. Placke. She was a graduate of Schenley High School. Lois along with her sister, Shirley, was passionate about animal welfare and volunteered for over 30 years at Animal Friends, adopting many dogs over the years. Neighborhood dogs walking by their house, were welcomed to the porch for loving pats and treats.

Lois was predeceased by brothers Harry and Clifford and sister, Shirley Placke. Survived by nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcomed to Allegheny Cemetery, Temple of Memories Mausoleum, 4734 Butler Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201 on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m.
