94, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on January 10, 2024 in Surprise, Arizona. She was born on April 5, 1929, in Pittsburgh, PA.

Lillian was a joyful and loving mother who always had a smile on her face. She was kind, smart, and all about her family. She was known for being very protective of her children and was always there for them. Lillian was an outspoken and straightforward person who loved to have fun.

Lillian is survived by her children: Marlene Dignan (George), Janet Dietz (David), Frank J. Retkowski (Justine), and Susan Hilliard (Wayne). She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Stacey Robinson, Bethany Dixon, Kira Dillion, Katie Bittner, Garrett Dietz, Kristie Barth, and five great-grandchildren. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Retkowski, and her son, David Retkowski.

Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville on Friday, January 19 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, St. Athanasius Church on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
