Kim Morris, devoted father and grandfather, and one of the best-dressed men anyone ever met, passed away on August 13th, 2026 at the age of 79.
Kim spent his career helping others look their best, beginning at Kunitz & Ryder and later retiring as a Partner from Tom James Company as a professional clothier. But for Kim, impeccable style was more than a profession… it was simply who he was. He was always perfectly put together and attentive to every detail. That quality extended back to his time in the United States Army Reserve, where even his uniform was immaculate, going beyond the strict Army standards: every button fastened and every pin precisely in its proper place.
He was just as memorable for his personality. Kim never met a stranger. At his retirement community, he became known as “The Mayor,” a title that perfectly captured a man who was always making the rounds, greeting people, and sharing one of his famously big stories.
Kim loved Frank Sinatra, Notre Dame football, the Pittsburgh Pirates, a strong martini and a good dinner out, and an old John Wayne or Abbott and Costello movie. He was immensely proud of his Irish heritage, his family, and the life he had built. His presence was unmistakable, his pride ever-present, and his fashion sense unmatched.
More than anything, Kim was a proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his sons, James C. Morris and Patrick Morris; his daughter-in-law, Allison Eiler; his granddaughters, Chloe Morris, Charlie Morris, and Emma Hill (Chris); two great-granddaughters; his brother, Keith Morris (Sheila); and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ken Morris.
Kim will be remembered as a true character and a gentleman; always sharply dressed, always ready to talk and always leaving an impression.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kim’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause especially close to his heart.
Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Jude Parish, Sacred Heart Church on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 10:30 a.m.
