Age 60, of Beaver County, formerly of Lawrenceville, passed on Thursday, September 9, 2021 after a life-long battle with renal disease. Son of the late Joseph and Helen (Flajnik) Horvatich. Survived by his brothers Richard (Patty) and Joseph (Suzy McKivens), his sister Joanne (Dayna Noullet) and dear friends Karla Bowman and her daughter, Shelby James. A graduate of North Catholic and Saint Vincent College, John worked as an accountant for the city of Pittsburgh and the state of Pennsylvania as well as several accounting firms. He enjoyed playing cards and in 2011 he played in a World Series Poker event. Having often talked about driving across the country, his long-awaited trek took him to many destinations, including the Grand Canyon, in 2019. For the past several years, John enjoyed taking day trips to view historic sights and points of interest around Pennsylvania and the surrounding states with his long-time college friend, Jim Kessel.
