John M.
Dobransky
March 4, 1962 – December 27, 2022
Age 60, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. Son of the late William B. and Lillian (Muto) Dobransky; brother of William R. Dobransky and the late Janice A. Piet; uncle of Wendy (Chad) Kline and Robin Piet; great-uncle of Janna Kline and Gregory Kline.
John was proud of his employment by the University of Pittsburgh for nearly 30 years, holding various positions. His last position was Senior Level Financial Grants and Office Administrator with the University's Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence, working with state and local government officials, where he was responsible for creating and implementing legislative marketing programs.
John's passion was fishing, and he was a proud Steelers football and Pirates baseball fanatic. He was also emphatically proud to say he was a Philadelphia Flyers fan, much to his friends' chagrin.
John was a kind-hearted, giving soul and cared deeply about the needy and volunteered with many organizations, especially animal shelters.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Angels Parish, St. Augustine Church on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 12:30 p.m.
