June 27, 1938 – April 26, 2024
Age 85, of Bethel Park, formerly of Bloomfield and Freeport, passed peacefully in his loving home, on Friday, April 26, 2024. Beloved husband of 61 years to the late Stella Ann (Tokarski) Aul; loving father of Jerome J. (Lee Ann) Aul, Jr., Karen L. (Anthony Sr.) Hickton and David R. (Susan Dawson) Aul; devoted PeePa of Derick Banach, Nick (Vanessa) Hickton, Anthony Hickton, Jaime (Liz Reiter) Hickton, Edward Aul, Alea (Nicholas) Glass and Iva Aul; great-grandfather of Mollie, Riley, E.J., Trey, Kinsley, Kaylee, Maddie, Ayla, Conor, Lincoln, Bodie and Tullie; brother of Richard (Anita) Aul, Joan (the late Michael) Barles, Catherine (Lawrence) Faloney, Cecilia (the late Timothy) Shaw, the late Edward "Tom" (the late Shirley) Aul, Mary Frances "Suzie" (the late Anthony) Stillitano, Peter (surviving wife Gloria) Aul and John Aul; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a lector at St. Mary Mother of God Church in Freeport. He also ministered to the residents of Saxonburg and Rosebrook Nursing Home by praying the rosary, reading the Bible, leading and singing and bringing the Eucharist. He also was an avid gardener and loved puzzles, card games and poker with his buddies.
Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish, St. Augustine Church on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
