Age 65, died on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, in Greensboro, NC, where she was residing with her sister since September of 2017. Jeanne was born on October 23, 1957 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Rita M. (Berner) Stokes. Jeanne attended Woolslair School for one year and then attended St. Anthony School for Exceptional Childern from 1968 to 1979. Later, while living in a group home under ACHIEVA, she worked at Goodwill Industries and Parkway Industries as an Assembler. Jeanne participated in an ACHIEVA Bowling League, won numerous medals while participating in Special Olympics, and she enjoyed traveling with family and swimming. Her most endearing pastime was listening to her Rock-N-Roll music while she played her 45's on her record player. Later she played CD's using her headset while playing with cards. Jeanne was a joy to anyone who came in contact with her.

Jeanne is the dear sister of Harry (Helen) Stokes, Jim (the late Linda) Stokes, Terry (Karen) Stokes, Jack (Patty) Stokes and Mary (Georg) Zillich; also survived by eight nieces and nephews and ten great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 2-8 pm. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Angels Parish, St. Augustine Church on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
