Age 78, of Lawrenceville, went home to be with the Lord suddenly, on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Beloved husband of Anna Marie (Carnahan) O'Brien of 56 years; loving father of Kathleen O'Brien Grebinoski (Michael), Heather O'Brien Szoszorek, Shannon O'Brien Sharkey and James C. O'Brien, Jr.; devoted grandfather of John M. Grebinoski, Robert T. Grebinoski, Kaitlyn Rose Grebinoski, Donald J. Szoszorek, Haley L. Szoszorek, Samuel L. Sharkey and Sophia Marie Sharkey; son of the late Clifford and Betty (Thompson) O'Brien. Jim worked for Signal Delivery Service, P.T. Marketing and Hertz Rental. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving two years on the U.S.S. Taconic at the age of 17 and served five years in the Reserves. Jim's family would like to thank Medic 6 Rescue and the C-ICU doctors and nurses at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, especially Dr. Ankur Doshi. Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J.
