Age 83, of Lawrenceville, on July 30, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Mary Jo (Shelly) McConnell; loving father of James P. (Andrea) McConnell and Michael F. (Kelli) McConnell; devoted grandfather of Nicholas McConnell, Zachary McConnell, Aidan McConnell, Taylor McConnell, Brady McConnell and Jocelyn McConnell; brother of Tom (Suzie) McConnell, the late Patricia (John) Abbott, Eileen (Stan) Poploski, Alice (Bo) Keally, Anna Mae (Dominic) Diulus and Dorothy (Jack) Cooper; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. 

Jim retired from Sears Roebuck and Co. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Jim was a member of the Ralph McNulty V.F.W. Post 214 and the A.O.H. Division 23. 

Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Jude Parish, St. Raphael Church on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
