It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Iolanda Passante Scrivofilo on March 15th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She reached the remarkable age of 100. Born on January 8, 1924, in Maranise-Catanzaro, Italy, she immigrated to America in 1957. Iolanda dedicated many years of her life to her work as a seamstress at Lintons and Ruth Young, where her skilled hands created countless treasures.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband Luigi, as well as her late sisters Elena and Rosetta, and late brothers Ricardo and Saverio, Iolanda leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She was the cherished mother of Concetta Moscatiello (late Benito), Francesco (Patricia), Miranda Gullo (Frank), and Joseph, who lovingly cared for her for the past 30 years. Iolanda's nurturing spirit extended to her 9 grandchildren: Gabriella Germinaro (Joe), Sabrina DiFranco (Remo), Pauline Shaw (Bobby), Yolanda Caminos (Oliver), Alex Gullo (Michelle), Gina Noble (Mark), Jessica Noryko (Michael), Steven Gullo, and Samantha Scrivfilo. She also leaves behind 19 great-grandchildren, each a testament to her enduring love and legacy.

We will forever remember Iolanda for her infectious sense of humor, her beautiful singing voice, and the boundless love she showered upon her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her kindness and grace.

Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Paul Cathedral on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
