Of Pittsburgh, PA, born June 22, 1925, WWII Marine Veteran, entered into heaven on December 15, 2021. Son of the late Dr. Lee Roy and Eleanor Ollie Herrington. Devoted husband to the late Evelyn Ameila Herrington (Swiencki). Beloved father to Linda Lee Pickur, Debbie Lynn Mitchell (Dr. Tom Mitchell), and Cathy Ann Sciulli. Loving Grandfather to Evelyn Sciulli, Shannon and Joshua Lipinski, and Jack and Dylan Mitchell. Survived by beloved brother William Herrington (Mary Herrington), and deceased siblings Jack Herrington and Ethel Mae Schoepf. Also survived by numerous nephews. Howard was a retired supervisor of the drafting department for the City of Pittsburgh. He was a gifted artist, an avid reader, and had a deep love of music. He enjoyed the company of family and friends and had a love of entertaining guests at his beloved home. Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J.
