Age 83, of Shadyside, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024. Beloved wife of 56 years of the late Albert Stiehl, II; loving mother of Kristin, Mark, Albert III and the late Greg.

Gretchen received her BS from Slippery Rock University and a Masters Degree from Duquesne University in the field of education. She had a long and rewarding career as an educator and spent 25 years teaching preschool at the Stephen Foster Community Center in Lawrenceville.

Gretchen enjoyed traveling with her daughter, baking, walks with Missy Dog and spending time with her family and friends. She was everything a wife and mother should be and she was a beautiful person. Gretchen was an active member of Sacred Heart Church and a devout Catholic.
