Age 73, of Shaler Township, formerly of Lawrenceville, on Thursday, July 8, 2021. Beloved husband of Frances (Wolkiewicz) Rickey; father of Tiffany and the late Mark Rickey; step-father of Paula (John) DeFranco, Kimberly, Christy, Dana and Cindi Brunsell; grandfather of Jarred, Cody, Nicholas, Austin, Noah, Haley, Timothy, Harper and the late Brandon. Gene proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic during the Vietnam War. He was a board member of the V.F.W. Post 214. Gene retired from Sears as a service technician with 40 years of service. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 2-8 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 7:30 p.m. Private Interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
