Age 93, of Leeper, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away January 18, 2024. Husband of the late Alberta. Loving father of Linda (Ding) and Timmy (Rachel) Finale. And the late Diane (Kerry surviving) Gargis and the late Lori Finale. Adored Pap of Mike, Sandy, Ashley, Phil, Michael, John and Luke. Proud Great Pap of Skylar, Haleigh, Giovanni, Gabe, Holden and Olivia. Son of the late Philip and Effie Lewis Finale. Brother of the late Philip, Annetta, Hugh and June. Dear special friend of the late Gail Viehman.

In the 70s and 80s Gene was known in the neighborhood as the guy that fixed everyone's dirt bikes and he spent a lot of time on the CB directing lost truckers to the strip district and warehouses around Pittsburgh .Gene was very talented and did elaborate Christmas displays for his family. He always had a project he was working on and could do almost anything. He was always willing to help someone out. He had a funny sense of humor and told great stories including about his years in the Navy. He loved all animals and enjoyed feeding and caring for them.
He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
