Obituary

Age 83, of Shaler Township, formerly of Bloomfield, on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Beloved husband of 57 years and the love of his life, Anna Marie (Segina) Ricci; loving and proud father Michael J. (Tammy Minteer) Ricci and Frank (Joan) Ricci; loving and devoted pap-pap of Lauren and Matthew Ricci; brother of Edward (MaryAnn) Ricci; also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends Guy and Toni Gizzi and their sons, Keith and Jeff and former daughter-in-law Karen Ricci. Emit proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was the Executive Vice President of Carman Supply & Equipment Company. After his retirement, he was part of Ricci Hauling. Emit loved to travel, enjoyed golfing, watching Westerns, having a few drinks and going to the farm. Most of all, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren perform with the Tamburitzans. Emit was a member of the Ateleta Beneficial Society, the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge #4, Polish Roman Catholic Union #237, SNPJ #782 and the V.F.W. Post 9199. Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Nicholas Church on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Emit's name to the Merakey Allegheny Valley School, 1996 Ewing Mill Road, Coraopolis, PA 15108 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or St. Nicholas Church Generations Fund, 23 Maryland Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15209.
