Obituary

Age 58, of Lawrenceville, suddenly, on Monday, November 14, 2022. Beloved son of Patricia A. (Marchase) and the late Edward D. Lapinski; the love of his life Lisa Ceoffe, "Sweetie Babes"; loving brother of Joseph M. (Elizabeth A.) Lapinski, Sr. and Karen A. Grenesko; devoted unky of Lauren A. Grenesko and godson Joseph M. Lapinski, Jr.; dear nephew of Mary Lou Marchase; devoted step-dad of Ashton (Patrick) McKibben; adored pappy of Max McKibben; devoted brother-in-law of Tony (Nina) Ceoffe and the late Michael (surviving wife Krissi) Ceoffe; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his little buddy, Oz and the late Ninja and Sam.

Ed graduated from Lawrenceville Area Catholic High School, Class of '82. He most recently worked for the City of Pittsburgh, Department of Public Works, Construction Division as a cement finisher.

Ed was passionate about everything in life and approached life with a big heart. He enjoyed having conversations of which he was very opinionated.

Ed was an expert craftsman and carpenter, who enjoyed sharing his knowledge and talents that touched many lives and will continue to live on. He also enjoyed being in the kitchen, baking, cooking, grilling and especially enjoyed sharing his meals with family and friends. Ed enjoyed being around kids and pets who seemed to gravitate towards him.

He loved his Jeep and especially enjoyed summer drives with the top off exploring new places. Ed was a true patriot who loved America and everything it stands for. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Thursday, November 17, 2022 and Friday, November 18, 2022 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Angels Parish, St. Augustine Church on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
