Age 67, of Highland Park, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, with his family and friends by his side. Doug battled health issues for twenty-three years but handled it all with dignity, grace and strength. He never felt sorry for himself and instead, chose to appreciate every day of his life with his loved ones.

Doug leaves behind his loving wife of forty-five years, Diane D'Acunto Mildner. His cherished children Heather (Lee Bash) Mildner and Brian Mildner. His cherished grandchildren, Hunter Bash and Spencer Bash. Doug also leaves to mourn his brothers, George (Lynn) Mildner and Michael (Wendy) Mildner; brothers-in-law Pasquale (Vicki) D'Acunto and Frank D'Acunto, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and his best friends of thirty-nine years, Albert and Beth Dongilli and their family, who have never left our sides.

The family would like to thank the dedicated doctors and nurses who cared for Doug during his years of health issues. A special thank you to the staff at Shadyside Hospital.

Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, for a Memorial Visitation on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 1-4 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that family and friends perform a daily act of kindness.
