Of Pittsburgh, on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at the age of 91. Wife of the late Rudy Pietro. She was born in the Lawrenceville area of Pittsburgh on November 14, 1930, the daughter of John and Johanna Stopar Ujcic. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Stephen Ujcic, Joanne Burchell Burns, Rudolph (Pug) Ujcic, Frank Mihm, Sharon Ujcich, John Mihm, Barbara Burchell Arthur, Ronald Mihm, Clifford Burchell, Kenneth Mihm, and Steven Mihm; also many great-nieces and nephews and cousins in West Virginia and Slovenia. She was preceded in death by her husband Rudy in 1989, brothers, John, Rudolph and Joseph Ujcic, sisters, Anna Burchell and Rose Mihm, niece, Janet Ujcich Rosenberger, nephews, Joseph Ujcic and Jeffrey Ujcic, and great-nephew, Gregory Ujcic. Dorothy retired from Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania after 35 years of service as an Assistant Manager in the Force Management Office. She was an active member of the former St. Mary Assumption Slovenian Church (Lawrenceville), and St. Matthew Parish Community, its Christian Mothers Guild, church choir, and recipient of the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh Manifesting the Kingdom Award. She was also a member of SNPJ Lodge 665 and VFW McNulty Post 214 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, working crossword puzzles, and playing Mah Jong with friends. Aunt Dorothy will always be remembered for her unconditional love, good heart, and support of her nieces and nephews, loyalty to dear friends and generosity to many. She always said she had a wonderful life with family and so many good friends. Funeral Service private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
