Age 93, of Ross Township, formerly of Lawrenceville, on February 2, 2025.  Born January 30, 1932.  Son of the late John E. and Amelia (Malich) Thomas.  Beloved husband of 68 years to Gladys A. (Zack) Thomas.  Loving father of Catherine L. Celender and husband Ralph of Shaler Township.  Proud grandfather (Pap) of Stephanie L. Douglas and husband Noah of Jacksonville, Florida.  In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine, and brothers, John (at infancy) and William E. Thomas and his late wife Lois. Brother in law of Mary Jane and the late Michael Strackhouse and uncle of David M. Strackhouse and wife Susan of Palmetto, Florida.

Don was an employee of the former Thorofare Supermarkets in Pittsburgh for over 34 years.  After Thorofare closed in 1982, Don worked in various capacities at several other supermarkets until his retirement.  Don was an avid Steeler and Pirate fan and a collector of coins and sports memorabilia.

Family and friends received at the Walter J. Zalewski Funeral Home, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, St. Sebastian R.C. Church, Ross Township, on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 10:00 am.  Internment to follow at Allegheny Cemetery, Lawrenceville.
