Delores (Jackanic)
Irene Roark
June 19, 1931 – March 25, 2026
In Loving Memory of Delores Irene Roark (Jackanic)
Delores Irene Roark, age 94, passed away peacefully on March 25 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, surrounded by her grandchildren.
Born June 19, 1931, in Pittsburgh, she married the love of her life, Robert Daniel Roark of Abingdon, Virginia, he was called to serve in the United States Air Force. They shared 65 years of marriage until his passing in 2018.
She was a cherished mother to three children: Linda (Thomas Lacek), Michael (Theresa Roark), and daughter, AnnMarie Lewellyn.
A devoted military wife, Delores traveled across the globe with her husband, forming lasting friendships and touching countless lives along the way. Through the years, she developed a passion for baking and sewing, eventually opening a bridal shop in Castle Shannon, Pennsylvania with her talented couture bridal designer daughter, Linda.
She became known for her custom wedding cakes, featuring lush designs with her signature hard icing roses, cascading layers, bridges, and pergolas-each creation making every bride feel special.
Her gentle spirit was reflected in her beautiful garden, her willingness to lend a listening ear, and her love of sharing stories from her youth. Her home was always filled with the comforting aroma of fresh bread, baked goods, and a family favorite, haluska.
She was a proud grandmother to Racheallee Lacek, Lauren Richards (Jim), Robert Paul Roark, Ryan Roark, Kayla McDermit, Chelsi Ruffing (Eli), Ashly Lewellyn, and Matthew Lewellyn (deceased), and a loving great-grandmother to Jade, Tristian, Kaiden, Jacob, Liam, Kaleb, Emma, Averi, Sydney, Matthew, Paislee, and Lydia.
Her legacy of love, generosity, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Her ashes will be interred at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies along with her husband, Robert. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
