Darrell G. Molgaard, 55, of Pittsburgh, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 12, 2026.He was born February 11, 1971, in Kittanning, PA, the son of Richard and Anna Molgaard. He grew up in Kittanning and McMechen, WV, and graduated from John Marshall High School. He went on to study at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh.Darrell was a valued team member at Joseph Orlando Clothiers, starting in 1990, where he forged lifelong friendships with the owners and customers alike.

On September 22, 2002, in Kittanning, Darrell married Zsofia Patkay, the love of his life and his partner in everything that followed. They made their home in Polish Hill, where they raised their two sons, Zane and Xavier, the great pride of his life. Darrell will be remembered for his kindness and the sincere interest he took in everyone he met. He loved his family and friends without reserve, and gave of himself, his time, and his resources with a generosity that never asked for anything in return.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Zsofia; his sons, Zane and Xavier; his parents, Richard and Anna, of Butler, PA; his brothers, Douglas (Anna Karin) Molgaard of Laholm, Sweden, and David (Amy) Molgaard of Charleston, WV; his sister, Amy (the late Matthew) Komisarek; and his nieces and nephews, Ian (Ashley), Thyra, Sarah (Chris) and Emma.

Family and friends will be received at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Monday, October 19, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until time of Prayer Service at 5:30 p.m. A reception will follow at Rico's Restaurant, 1 Rico Lane, off McKnight Road in Ross Township at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the GoFundMe account for the family, available through the Walter J.
