Age 91, of Morningside, on Thursday, August 3, 2023. Beloved husband of 50 years of the late Jennie (Lagrotteria) Mannella; loving father of Joyene (Edwin) Novak, Tina (Dean) Shaw and Anthony (Gayle) Mannella; devoted grandfather of Andrew (Martha) Shaw, Brandon Shaw, Jenna DiLoreto, Ashley (Josh) Dickinson, Bethany (Shaun) Finnegan, Jamilee (David) Marasco, Edwin (Ellie) Novak, Brittany Mannella, Tanner (Nicole) Mannella and Nicholas Mannella; also 14 great-grandchildren; loving companion of Lydia Morris; brother of the late Anna Zappa and Helen Arena; also survived by nieces and nephews.
Tony served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was faithful to St. Raphael's Church. Tony was a man of faith who thought nothing of volunteering his time and helping others. He enjoyed bowling and bocce.
Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Sunday, August 6, 2023 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Jude Parish, St. Raphael Church on Monday, August 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
