Age 89, of Brookline, formerly of East Liberty and Garfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Philip Pieto and Frank R. Filbert, Sr.; loving mother of Margaret Whiteman, John (Kristen Dent) Filbert, Joseph Filbert, Andrew Filbert and the late James Filbert, Frank R. Filbert, Jr., Maryann (surviving companion Norman Schumacher) Yuhaschek; cherished grandmother of John Filbert, Jr., Jessica Brandau, Matt Filbert, Julian Filbert, Joey Filbert and the late David and Scott Whiteman; cherished great-grandmother of Caleb, Zoey, Anthony, Mariah and Natalia; daughter of the late Andrew and Maggie Cardyn; sister of Andrew Cardyn, Angelina Hayes, Margie (Nick) Piano, the late Carmelina Bossio, Mary Carpezano, Thomas Cardyn, Joseph Cardyn, Angelo Cardyn and Charlie Cardyn; also survived by her sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
